Quixote Transportation Technologies, Inc. Names Peter Jones New QTT Sales Manager for International Markets

(DURHAM, NC February 2008) – Quixote Transportation Technologies, Inc. (QTT) has appointed Mr. Peter C. Jones to its sales and marketing team as the new QTT Sales Manager – International Markets.  In this role, Mr. Jones will be responsible for QTT sales activity and personnel for all international markets outside of Canada. 

Mr. Jones’ responsibilities will include managing sales of QTT product lines to the international market, and working closely with QTT’s international distributors and international territory sales managers in order to meet the company’s sales objectives.  He will provide leadership and direction in executing new sales strategies that will ensure QTT remains a leading provider of traffic analyzers, distance measuring instruments, road weather stations and pavement sensors, and highway advisory radio products in the transportation industry.
 
Mr. Jones brings more than 26 years experience to QTT; his background includes international sales experience, ITS market knowledge, strategic planning, and team building.  Prior to joining QTT, Mr. Jones served as the Director of International Sales & Business Development for PIPS Technology Inc. (A Federal Signal Company).  He received a B.S. Degree in Marketing with concentration in International Business/European & Eastern Languages from Auburn University.  

Mr. Jones has extensive language training with communication skills in nine languages.  He speaks fluent Greek, French, Spanish and English, and basic Portuguese, Russian, Urdu, Punjabi and Turkish.
